In conjunction with International Women’s Day, here’s a little tribute to some of the awesome Singaporean women in my life the past 4 years who has made my travel journeys so much sweeter, crazier and memorable.
Singaporean Women in Travel
This international women’s day, we pull out exciting stories of some of the best moments.
1. Women Adventurers in Cape of Good Hope, South Africa Singaporean Women in Travel
Had the privilege to travel with a great bunch of 6 to explore the wild beauty of South Africa. The 2 girls in my trip, Elysa and Siying were such good female company, with their crazy yoga tricks and Ely being a terrific tent mate and ‘not so terrific’ manual car co-driver. But all in all, one of the most memorable trips of my life.
2. Sweet in Seoul, South Korea Singaporean Women in Travel
This trip was a last minute one, but I had tons of fun with a team of all female media. The lady featured in the photo is May from TODAY papers, a beautiful lady full of character and we were shooting super awesome pictures for each other throughout the trip ( above is one of them;) )
3. Singapore Singaporean Women in Travel
Had a super good workout doing paddleboarding at changi with some of my ex-colleagues. Such fit and fab people, Svet is currently in Kenya and I miss her loads!
Another bunch of fit ladies who were part of the gang to climb Bukit Timah Hill one fine day.
Luckily the weather held up. Some of them are actually also my fellow women rock climbers. So yup, small world for females who love to work out and be in nature!
4. Shiga Kogen, Nagona Japan
The ski and snowboard entourage. These amazing ladies made up of Shiree, are super good at their craft, and have an energy level on the slopes that puts many unfit guys to shame. Super privileged to travel with them on this skiing aka snowboarding trip to Shiga Kogen Japan a few Chinese new years ago.
5. Touring around South Island, New Zealand
Who can forget NEW ZEALAND! My absolutely favourite holiday trip till date;) Had the honour to travel with these lovely group, in total it was 3 boys 3 girls. We girls naturally ‘gang’ up on our own and had our own fun at the back of the campervan while the guys did all the work. ( Kidding, we were all very helpful as well with the cooking, driving and navigating)
7. Women Rock Climbers at Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur
Power pack climbing group that headed to Batu Caves for some rock action. Really loved this picture as we rock climbing women ( Tiffany and Ms Shinny Stars as shown) all look sooo hot and fit here ( though I still look scrawny as usual ;p )
8. All Girls Holiday at Kuta Beach, Bali Indonesia
GIRLS ONLY party trip where we all had such a good time.
Some amazing laughs and splashing around in the pool all the time. Great thanks to my gang in the trip ( Jasmine, Jia Ying, Vanessa, missing Glenda ) for being such great company.
9. Bachelorettes in Bangkok – Busted!
The bachelorettes are here, in full force!
The group of us 6 girls ( Jess, Wei, Serene, Wendy and Eliz) headed to the land of smiles to celebrate the 1st of our girl group getting hitched. Great trip with good food and even better room deco/ games. Beat this!
10. In Canada with the Canadian
Great outdoors adventures and exploration in this cold snowy part of the world, discovering the trails and lakes and forests with this bubbly good friend of mine. To those solo female travelers, we are never solo thanks to dear friends we meet on the road. Hugs to Odelia for being such a dear long distance friend and prayer warrior.
